Phillip Wolff has officiated over 100 weddings and will tell you the ceremony never gets old. There's a moment right before he begins — the couple facing each other, the room holding its breath — that gets him every time. He loves looking out at a crowd and seeing a couple's whole world in one room: the people who raised them, the friends who stayed, the ones who flew in just for this.
Phillip brings a calm, grounded presence to every ceremony — the kind that slows the moment down so you can actually feel it. He has a quiet sense of humor that shows up when it should and disappears when it shouldn't.
He's married to Anna, owner of Little Shawnee Chapel, where he's spent years getting this right. He officiates religious, non-religious, and interfaith ceremonies — and he'll take the time to know your story before he tells it.

How far in advance should we book?
The earlier the better. Some couples book 12 months out, others get lucky and book a week or two before. If you have a date in mind, reach out now to check availability.
What do you wear?
Phillip's standard is a sport coat and slacks. If your wedding has a specific dress code or vibe, just let him know — he's happy to adjust.
Do you do rehearsals?
Yes. Rehearsals are available for all packages at $250. They typically run 30 minutes to an hour depending on the size of your wedding party.
How long is a typical ceremony?Chapel elopements run about 5 minutes. Classic and custom ceremonies are typically around 10 minutes — enough to feel meaningful without losing the room.
Do you officiate religious ceremonies?Yes. Phillip officiates religious, non-religious, and interfaith ceremonies. Whatever your background or beliefs, he'll make it feel right.
Can you help us write our vows?Yes — vow writing is available as an add-on for $200. Phillip will help you find the words that actually sound like you, not a greeting card.
When is payment due?
Payment is due upon booking to hold your date.
Do you travel outside Kansas City?Phillip is based in Shawnee, KS. Ceremonies outside the 64113 zip code include a travel fee based on distance. Inquire with your location and he'll give you a quote.
